Say it ain't so! Yankee pitcher suspected of cheating

A few eyebrows were raised during the season's first New York Yankee-Chicago Red Sox game, Yankee pitcher Michael Pineda apparently had a suspicious substance on his hand during the third inning of the April 10 game.
LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Pineda pitched a great game, keeping the Red Sox hitless for the first four innings and without any runs until the seventh when Red Sox player Daniel Nava put up the only run for his team. The Yankees won the game 4-1.
While local TV commenter's were the first to note the strange substance and raise questions, few other commentators have picked up on the potential scandal and the Red Sox did not file a formal complaint with the league. In fact it was a half-hearted denial by Pineda's manager, Joe Girardi, the seemed the most suspicious. In a press release after the game, Girardi was evasive and did not come out and deny the charge.
Pineda did later deny the charges, claiming the mysterious substance that appeared on his hand was just dirt.
In NFL news, several players have been named by a woman in a police report, after she passed out in a hotel and woke up in a hospital.
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and wide receiver Quinton Patton and Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette, were named by the woman who remains unidentified, though only in unproven allegations police stress.
The woman reportedly mixed drinks for the men, drank with them, and smoked marijuana before feeling lightheaded and lying down, the report said. Later Kaepernick entered the room she was in and began to kiss her and undress her completely before leaving.
The woman claims that she has had sexual relations with Kaepernick in the past.
Both the 49ers and the Seahawks have delivered statements that say they are aware of the issue, but have not commented further.
